Restorative Care

Crowns

Stainless steel crowns are used as the restoration of choice when decay is too large to be fixed with a filling or when cavities are on several surfaces of the teeth. Our dentists will discuss with you the advantages and limitations of each treatment to identify which would be best for your child.

Fillings

When decay on a small portion of any tooth is detected we will recommend treatment. We offer composite fillings that match the color of the tooth. When decay is discovered early, we are able to use very conservative fillings. Some teeth, however, are too badly decayed to hold a composite filling. These teeth require complete coverage with stainless steel crowns. Dr. Amy is happy to discuss with you the advantages and limitations of each treatment to identify which would be best for your child.

Root Canal

A root canal is a special service designed to help patients who have developed an infected tooth. Treatment can be completed in one comfortable visit to our office and will result in better health and well being for your son or daughter. Is your child experiencing a toothache or sensitivity to hot or cold foods and drinks? Let us complete an exam to look for signs of an infection.
